You know its going to be a good Mothers day when it doesn't start until 9:45am. Which is when you wake up, stretch out, and realize that your wonderful husband has been wrangling the kids for you since 8am. Pure. Bliss. Then when you stroll downstairs, you see this, written in window markers on your patio door:

A up close look at the reasons Killian gave for me being a good mama:

I especially love the 7th one. *Rolling eyes* I mean...daddy does make a pretty mean bowl of top ramen. Surely they wouldn't starve, at least not right away :) He also makes really good french toast, topped with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar that is "just like the restaurant!" according to Killian. Oh and sausage too. YUMMY.
My brother came into town from Spokane that afternoon. We dont get to see him very often, so it was really great to hang out and catch up. My mom and dad came over for dinner too, which was nice. My brother and his wife had recently been to Disneyland, and brought the kids back some cool gifts. The puzzle master Killian got 4 super cool puzzles, and Rowan got a "boo" doll from Monsters Ink. At first she isnt sure:

But soon formed a very deep attachment to her "boo.....BOO!" doll (she likes to say its name, and then try to scare it).
Matthew got me an elliptical machine for mothers day, which I have been wanting for-eeeeeever. When Killian was about the age that Row is now, I started getting really serious about getting back in shape, and was at the gym for an 1 hour a day, 5 days a week. With two kids, and a family, its harder to get out by myself, so this is perfect. I never thought I would be so excited to sweat myself silly! Of course we had the kids do all the actual work and put the thing together:

This is the real reason we bought such a large item...the BOX it came in!!

I swear, next Christmas Santa is only bringing cardboard for these two. Endless hours of fun were had:

And as if all that weren't enough, Matthew cooked, cleaned, did dishes and waited till I was ready for bed before beginning his all night Grand Theft Auto marathon with my brother. I have a keeper for sure :) Thanks hon!
Oh and here are a few random pictures from this weekend. Playing Army guys in a monsoon?!?!

Um....Hollywood? You ready for this?
