Today was our 3 year wedding anniversary. Sometimes I think that 3 years couldn't possibly have already passed....sometimes I cant believe its only been 3 years. See, the thing is, I feel like I have known Matthew forever. I was never really one to believe in a perfect match, a soul mate, the love of your life. After I met Matthew, I couldn't remember why I ever doubted those things were possible. I want to be able to pinpoint the exact moment that I knew he was "the one", but I cant put my finger on it. I suppose it was probably there the first night we went out, to a local bar after work with some friends, and from that night...the feeling just got stronger. We met, and got engaged 5 weeks later. About a month later we got pregnant with Rowan (yes...she was planned). 3 months later we got married, and 6 months after that, we completed our family when Rowan was born. I am sure plenty of people thought we were crazy, but I am so glad that neither of us doubted that it was real. I have never been closer to anyone, never been so free to be myself (a total goofball), never felt so secure in a relationship or so in love. He is my best friend, my husband, my parenting partner...the one person I can always fall back on, and I don't ever doubt that he will be there to catch me. I love this man, I love our family, I love our life....I look forward to every moment we spend together, every day that we end with a kiss, and every time I look at him and know he is mine. I love you Matthew!!! <3
It all started when Matthew rented a penthouse suite right on the ocean on what I thought was just a weekend vacation. When we got there, he was really nervous, and I kept wondering what this "surprise" he had for me was. He led me to a closed door, and when he opened it this is what I saw:

I turned around, and he was on one knee with my ring. So romantic!! We got this picture later that day, I love the symbolism in it...if you look closely, its two rainbows shining through the storm:

And a picture of us the day after we got engaged...look how young we were!

I am looking forward to where the future takes us!
