Well, he isn't really a baby, but he is new to our family! We have been wanting to get a cat for a while now, and we decided that today was the day. After looking at a couple shelters, and only finding kittens and young cats, which we didn't want, we ended up at a place in Sherwood called C.A.T which stands for Cat Adoption Team. They shelter 300-500 cats of all ages, and also have many in foster care. We decided if we couldn't find a cat here, we wouldn't be able to find one anywhere! One of the first cats that we saw was Zazoo, and we just fell in love. He is a Maine Coon, and quite a big boy...he tops the scale at close to 18 pounds! He is the most laid back, mellow cat I have ever seen, and such a beautiful boy. We looked at about 6 other cats, but really just kept coming back to him. We decided to adopt him!! They had been telling us he was 8 years old, but when we were reading his paperwork, we realized that he is actually 11. He is in great health, and older cats are really hard to adopt, so we felt really good about giving him a good home to spend his remaining years in. We also discovered in his paperwork that his name had previously been Caesar, which his most recent owner (of only 6 months) had changed to Zazoo. Caesar fits him so much better, he is so regal and proud, so we decided to go back to his origional name. Besides, when we call him, Caesar is the one he responds too.
