Circus!

Last weekend we went to the circus with Aimee and family, Michelle and family, and Crystal and family. It was such a blast!! They have a pre-circus show if you go an hour early that we went to.The kids got to sit on a cool circus motorcycle:

Try on clown costumes:

Check guys like this out:

And watch lots of juggling and acrobats. These guys were really cool to watch:

We also got to pick up some free clown noses :)

Awwww....like father, like daughter!

Then we settled in for the real fun to begin. Most things were to fast paced for me to capture on the camera, but there were really neat horse riding tricks, where the person would slide out of the saddle, touch the ground, then flip back up onto the horse...all while the horse is galloping wildly around the ring. Its amazing to me, because it requires such a huge amount of training and trust between both the horse and the rider.....very cool to watch. I couldn't capture any pictures of it that didn't look like just a big blur, but I did get this one of tiny horses, and the little goats on their backs:

Ha! Rowan thought that was pretty funny. Then the motorcyclists came out, this is what Killian waited the whole circus for!! They started with 5 in there, then 6, then 7, all zooming around the cage at the same time....crazy. These guys must have an awful lot of trust and confidence in each other!

Killian was appropriately delighted. He will probably grow up and join the circus and want to do this trick too!

We also saw the obligatory tigers:

And of course, elephants. None went on wild rampages, but there was LOTS of elephant poop...much to the delight of all the kids, and most of the grown ups too. It was so funny, when one would poop, you would hear this chorus of groans and giggles from the audience. Humans are so easily amused ;)

This is my favorite picture of the night:

Rowan was delighted by everything, this was her first time at the circus, and it was so cool to see her amazement at everything. It was a really fun time, and just the thing we needed to end our summer. I cant believe how fast it went by, it was busy and fun, but also exhausting, and I am glad for Fall to be right around the corner. Its my favorite time of year, the cool crisp air, the crunchy leaves, fun fall activities, holidays, crafts, and baking. Yay! I cant wait :)
