Education is important

This afternoon the kids decided to play school together, and I got to be their teacher. They organized everything all by themselves, dragging tables out of other rooms, getting creative with their seats (Rowan is sitting on two toy bins), and even remembering that the teacher needs a big impressive seat:

They got their backpacks loaded up with important supplies and books:

And made the long walk to school:

Hey! I think that orange fluffball is giving them the answers!!

They were so cute, I love times like this when Killian gets Row involved in stuff, makes her feel like a big girl, and is so super sweet and patient with her. Now if only I could find a way to bottle these moments and make them last!

As a side note, I am so irritated with my camera. I think something must have gotten messed up with the settings, because its taking crappy fuzzy pictures all the time now, and its a total crapshoot as to whether or not something will turn out. Take this picture of the kids tonight:

We made our first fire in the fireplace, and I was so excited to get a picture of them sitting together, but its all crappy and fuzzy. Darn it! I guess I better pull out the manual and figure this out. I am so not camera function inclined!

And a cute final picture...this is how I really roll when I am blogging:
