Yesterday when I went outside to toss out peanuts for this little guy:

I noticed a bunch of footprints in the snow. The kids and I had fun guessing who they belonged too. We think these ones belong to the squirrels:

And these ones belong to the blue jays who steal all the nuts we put out for the squirrels.

We couldn't figure these out though. They were the first ones we saw this morning, I think they were made overnight. They are too big to be a cats, so I am guessing raccoon, possibly opossum.

And these ones?

Clearly these belong to some nutty human outside in the snow in bare feet, taking pictures of animal tracks. See what a week at home reduces me to?
The kids got out their dress up stuff and found Rowans Monkey costume from 2 Halloweens ago. Though it was small, she squeezed into it, while Killian put on a mix of Indiana Jones, and wild west cowboy.

I told Rowan that she was Killian's sidekick. She proceeded to demonstrated what a great "sidekick" she really is!

Unrelated, but cute....Mac watching the water drip from the tub faucet. Last night, he was sitting on the edge of the tub while the kids had a bath, and he kept dipping his paw in the water. Once the kids got out, Mac and Sundae had a little tub time of their own:

And finally, Rowan. Here she is showing what happens when she sleeps till 9:45 in the morning (an all time record for her). Of course she wasn't tired at her usual bedtime of 8:00. She wasn't even tired at 9:00. And at 9:45 she mocks the whole idea of bedtime:

Finally at a little after 10, I was able to convince her that she really was a tiny bit tired, and into bed she went. So while sleeping in was nice and refreshing, being up till 10pm with a hyped up toddler was not. Lesson learned!
