The kids are so lucky to have such fun friends to play with. Saturday afternoon was beautiful... cold but not too cold, sunny and not raining...perfect weather for playing outside! When we first came to this house after signing the papers, we met our new neighbors and found out they have two kids, ages 3 and 5. Our kids play really well together and its nice for Row and Killy to just walk outside and instantly have a playmate there. Something they are playing with a lot lately is our plasma car. I found it a couple weeks ago on Craig's list for the incredible price of $10, and I practically ran to the persons house to buy it. Other than fighting over who gets to go first, the kids are having a blast with it. Don't tell them, but I just bought another one today at Toys R Us for $40 bucks, which is still a great deal, so our fighting days our numbered :)
Anyways, Rowan and the neighbor girl (who Row is totally enamored with) were racing each other down the driveway at top speed. I was shocked that Row was going that fast, she is turning out to be quite the fearless little girl. Probably from all the fearless boys in her life :P Of course the first video that I shot she totally bit it on the pavement. After I stopped it to run over and check on her, she bounced up and before I could even say anything she was back on the car racing for the driveway. Tough chick that one. Darn, I cant figure out how to make the video bigger so you can see her spectacular crash : /
Taking videos of the kids was a HUGE hit with them, so here is another cute one of them all racing each other down the driveway:
Soon our bestest buddies Henry and Paul came over to spend a few hours so Aimee and Dave could have some mostly kid free shopping (baby Jon went along with them to supervise). Its always so much fun having these 4 kids together, they get along so well, and always have a fun time. After all playing outside together for a while, Henry and Row came inside for a snack and a engaging game of Candy Land:

The big boys stayed outside doing big boy things, mostly bending over tree branches and catapulting GI Joes into the tree:

When it started to get dark they all came in to do some Christmas crafts. They painted ornaments (and themselves, the paper, the counter):

And then I really lost my mind and let them glue and glitter. Oh boy. I am going to be sweeping glitter off my kitchen floor for months. But they had a great time, and made some priceless treasures. Everyone was bummed when it was time for them to go home, but next week its my kids turn to invade Aimee's house for a few hours so Matthew and I can have some kid free time. Just thinking about it makes me panic....what the heck do we do without kids??? Its very rare for us for sure, so we will probably speed through shopping and sit down and have a nice dinner together. Just the two of us. You know, almost like a date.
Oh, and here is a cute picture of my little buddy:

And his sidekick, trouble:

They are both getting so big, Mac is almost 9 months old, and Sundae is about 4 months. Cute little things, but don't let that fool you. They are really just furry little monsters that do juuuuust enough cute stuff to keep them from being kicked out in the rain.
