Bullwinkles!

Today we took the kids down to Bullwinkles, a "family fun center" in Wilsonville. We had $50 in gift cards to spend before the 31st of this month, and today was supposed to be party cloudy, which is as good as it gets for Oregon in March! So we decided to head down there, and lucky for us, the weather stayed nice (not raining) the whole time.

Killian was about 2 inches to short to drive his own go-cart, so he and Matthew ripped up the track together. The obligatory wave to mom:

Next we spent $30 on one 18 hole round of mini golf. Yes....$30. A bit high priced, but the photos of the kids were priceless, so it all worked out. At the first hole, Matthew helped Rowan get her golf club figured out:

And soon she was swinging on her own!

Killian and Matthew:

I asked Killian to show me his coolest golfing pose, and he got totally embarrassed at the idea and said "Nooooooooo way" and I snapped this picture instead:

Look - I am going to get a hole in one!

Or not. Killian got the only hole in one of the day, and quite a few hole in two's. Never heard of a hole in two? Neither had I, but we celebrated them anyways!

Is anyone surprised that Rowan picked this ball?

When we finished up with golfing it was time to head inside and spend our tokens! We played a lot of for ticket games, but the kids also did a couple ride on games. This one was a huge hit with Rowan:

The kids laid back on the seats, and there was a screen above them showing them as race cars racing through the city streets, and the chairs would vibrate and bump around to the action on the screen. Rowan hasn't stopped talking about it all night, she really loved it. I think its the first time she has ever been on a ride like this. Killian thought the next one was way cooler, when they drove motorcycles:

After all the games were done, we counted up the tickets we had all won....we had 883!

The kids picked out their treasures; a clapper, hacky sac, obnoxiously loud mini guitar, a party hat and a rainbow sucker for Rowan and then Killian got 3 kinds of candy, a party hat, and one of those helicopter toys where you pull the string and the helicopter can fly up to 30 feet. They were SO pleased with their choices, it was really fun to watch them picking stuff out.

I saw that they have family nights for $20 bucks a person, unlimited mini golf, go karts, bumper boats, and a few other things, so I think another day at Bullwinkles is in our future!
