Tanya and her boyfriend and kids came over to play this weekend, and boy...was it hot out! I think it got close to 90, and everyone was in serious need of some cooling off. Lucky for the kids, Tanya had brought a slip and slide with her, which the big boys had a great time on. Here is Killian:

Rowan needed a little extra help getting going:
After some exhausting squirt gun wars, and lots of jumping in the pool, we all sat down for dinner and got fueled back up for....a water balloon fight! The adults filled the balloons (and may or may not have done a little water fighting of their own) and gave each kiddo a container of 20 water balloons. They chose stations, and the war was on!
Kyialynn though tasting was more fun that throwing:
A few days earlier had been Kyialynns birthday, so we whipped up some cupcakes and had ourselves a little birthday celebration. Just look at this little cutie:
She was a little shy about blowing out the candles, but lucky for her she had two big brothers eager to help!
The kids played and played for the rest of the night, and all got along so well, us adults almost forgot they were there ;) It was great to catch up with Tanya too, we have known each other for almost 9 years, but haven't seen much of each other for the last couple years. I know that we wont go that long without getting together again...especially since Rowan has asked every day since when her friend "Ky-lan" is coming over to play again!
