Today I fully committed....to my love of ice cream. I bough this ice cream maker at Costco today for a mere $49.99, a full $30.00 less than the Amazon price. But WAIT! It doesn't only make ice cream...it makes frozen yogurt and sorbets too! I have been wanting one for so long, and when I saw it at Costco today I just couldn't pass up the price. I am so excited to make fresh ice cream, with ingredients that I can pronounce. Even our beloved Tillamook Ice cream has preservatives in it, the only kind I have found that doesn't is the Breyers all natural, but its got a hefty price tag on it. So - now I can make my own! I am really anxious to try the frozen yogurts too. The ice cream maker came with a recipe book, but I also ordered The Ben and Jerry's homemade Ice cream and dessert book on sale at Powells for $6.50...the next to the last copy!
I am going strawberry picking on Wednesday when the local farm opens up for u-pick...I am going to get some extra strawberries and make a sorbet out of them! Yum!
