The other week I emailed Aimee the day before our weekly coffee date, and mentioned a few things I wanted to talk about. I told her to help me remember them, because we are both constantly forgetting little things that we want to chat about. Dave laughed and laughed when Aimee told him, and said that maybe we needed to write up an agenda for our coffee dates. So....I took his advice this morning:

Lol. What a dorky thing to do! Its a sign that I am getting old, it seems like I cant remember anything for longer than a few minutes lately. Even more amusing to me is that Aimee and I spent 4 hours together yesterday driving to and from a place in Washington so she could pick up some turkeys....you would think we wouldn't have anything left to talk about!
On coffee mornings, whoever is hosting makes a morning breakfast, and then an afternoon lunch and the other one of us will bring coffee for the grownups and hot chocolate for the kiddos. Today was my week to host, and I got out the donut pan that Matthew had bought me for Mothers Day. I made chocolate donuts and apple spice donuts. They were good...but they sure aren't like the store bought fried donuts! These come out more like cake donuts, and the chocolate ones were pretty dense. But the kids seemed to like them, and they were a much healthier version of an old favorite.

After breakfast we went outside and Row and Hank played for a while in the sandbox. Of course they got covered in sand, and had to use the hose to wash off. Just three cute kiddos in their undies!

Next Wednesday is our last coffee date with just the little kids, after that Paul and Killian will be joining us every week because they will be out of school. They are going to be really excited, its hard for them to hear about coffee days during the school year because they feel like they are missing out. And, its going to be especially great for Killian to have Paul to play with at least once a week (well twice, cause we are going to do a weekly baking day too) because he mostly has littler kids to play with in the cul de sac. Our big boys will love being able to do big boy stuff together, and good luck to the littles in trying to keep up!
