Our friends Tanya and Steve, and 2 of their 5 kids came over for dinner and games tonight, but before we ate we walked down to our neighborhood pool. Its such a fun place, there is a 2 foot deep kiddy pool, a big person pool thats divided for little people and big people to have seperate space, and lots of shade for those really hot days. I am really happy for the kids that they will have a pool just two blocks away while they are growing up. I can count on one hand the number of times we went to a pool when I was growing up, and now I really see what we were missing out on!
Neither of the kids know how to swim, and I am thinking about signing Killian up for the lessons they have weekly at the pool. I wasn't going to do it because we wanted a schedule free summer, but seeing how badly he wants to be able to swim I am reconsidering them. He does pretty good though, he loves to go underwater (as long as he has his goggles on!) and he has a lot of fun in both pools. The kids in the smaller pool:

Kyialynn, looking like a big girl!

Later we headed back home for dinner, and after dinner we played Apples to Apples. Its a really fun game, and I would be silly if I didn't mention that I won. 3 times!! I think I actually tied with Tanya for the most wins - girl power ruled the night! It was a great time, and we are expecting to have another great night in a couple weeks when we have our first monthly couples game night extravaganza!
