Being thankful

We have so much to be thankful for this year, and its such a long list that it would be overwhelming to write it all out. So what I am feeling especially grateful for this year is my health which is looking absolutely wonderful right now. When I got my last CT scan done about a month ago it came back completely clean. Whatever was in my left lung at the last scan is gone, and there is no sign of any returning cancer. That alone is enough to make me feel like the luckiest person in the world. I am thankful to have a family that is strong, united and loving, and for my children who are growing up to be everything that I hoped they would be...and more. For our friends who bring laughter and joy to our lives and encourage us to pursue our dreams. For our house, and the space outside to pursue our many passions. For Matthew doing better at work this year than last, despite the recession that is gripping our country. For being able to put money into savings for the first time in our married life, and for being able to use some of that savings to take our children to Disneyland in the spring. For all the plans and dreams we have, realized or not....we will always keep dreaming. I am thankful for that, and for all that we have to look forward to. Whatever the future brings I know it will find us together, happy and loved and overwhelmed by the wonderful blessings that we have in our lives.
