After watching a Spider-man movie with Killian and Daddy, Rowan quickly became obsessed with the masked superhero, and talked about him all the time. She has Spider-man action figures, posters, blankets and T-shirts. She talks about him constantly, and has watched the movies dozens of times. But when you are 3, love is fickle, and spider-man has all but been forgotten now that she now has a new hero in her life. His name is Skippyjon Jones, and he is a boisterous little chihuahua. Or an mischievous Siamese kitten, depending on who you believe! We have two of his books, and checked out the other two from the library, including the newest one, Lost in Spice. The library books came with C.D.'s that we copied, and now Rowan listens to a Skippyjon book on cd every night at bedtime. It shouldn't have come as a big surprise to us that she can now "read" the book, but I was still a little shocked at how much she could remember.
