The House of Harlow

We adopted Harlow in November from our local shelter, and she was about 2 months old at the time. She is a little over 6 months old now, and we have had so much fun watching her grow up! She is the sweetest kitten, very playful, but also super snuggly. She often sleeps between Matthew and I at night, and she loves to play chase with the kids. I often think how much more like a dog she acts - its like she is a puppy stuck in a kittens body. That includes chewing everything in site - a couple weeks ago she scared us by eating a foam nerf dart, and just a week later we found that she had eaten a polly pocket shoe. She was nice enough to barf all the object up for a closer inspection! She chews on paper, cardboard, legos, sheets, shoes, fingers and toes, the laptop...really anything she can get her little mouth around. Hopefully she will be done with this phase soon! She is a really joyful addition to our little family, and I cant imagine our life without her. Here is a look at Harlow's life with us so far:

Her first day home:

Already she is so tolerant of Rowans "love":

Her favorite place to be:

Potty training ;)

She figured out how to climb up to Killian's loft bed:

It was a tiring experience!

I love this picture, look at Killian peeking out from the side!

Kami this blanket for me to take to the hospital when I went in for my lung surgery, and its held a special place in my heart (and on my couch) ever since. Harlow has taken a shine to it, and is now very, very fond of this little blanket. If I lay on the couch and throw it over my lap, it is guaranteed that Harlow will be laying on it in 3.2 seconds. Its like her security blanket :)

Rowan and Harlow have an interesting relationship. Rowan adores her, and wants to hold, snuggle, squish and carry Harlow around every second of the day. Harlow is SO patient and gentle with Rowan, and even seeks her out to snuggle with, so she must not mind Rowans antics too much!

Did I mention that Harlow is a very mellow sort of cat?

We waited a long time to find the perfect kitty for our house, but I am so glad that we kept looking. She was meant to be with us ♥
