Things are coming right along in the garden! We got it rototilled on Monday, I love how "farmy" it looks right after its done. In this picture you can see our new areas - the one on the bottom left is where our compost pile was last year, the soil should be nice and healthy. Then on the upper right is another new area, we are planting corn there this year:

The garden is very empty so far, but we are working on remedying that! This weekend we will spend the whole day making paths, and putting up our trellises, and hopefully getting a few seeds and some plants in. I want to put potatoes in, but am not sure if its warm enough yet? I need to do some more research on that. And speaking of filling up the garden, some of our seeds have sprouted in the garage!

Its hard to get a good picture, but those purple ones are red cabbage, and all the seeds to the right are various lettuces. To the left you can just see the brussel sprouts, and out of the picture is a row of romanesco that has sprouted. That middle row with no sprouts is celery, and out of the picture is 4 rows of peppers. I am not worried that they haven't sprouted yet, the package said it would be between 5-25 days. I am hoping its going to be sooner rather than later though!! I am thrilled that plants are coming up, I hope they continue to thrive and grow to be strong. This are really starting to happen!
