Today was take your child to work day, and for the first year Killian was old enough to go to work with Matthew. We told him Monday night at dinner, and he has been looking forward to it all week. He planned out what he would wear in advance, choosing his nicest button up shirt (okay...its his only one) and a new pair of jeans. He even did his hair in the morning without complaining....I think he wanted to make a good impression! The guys heading out the door to work:

I took Rowan to work today too! We did all sorts of important jobs, like laundry:

And dishes:

We took our plants out for water and sun:

Fed Lulu:

Watered the garden and fruit trees:

We found time for a little exercise:

And may have checked Facebook once...or twice:

I had to white out names for privacy ;)
At noon it was time to head to Matthews work to meet up with the guys for lunch. I go to the call center once a week to have lunch with a friend there (I worked at the same company before getting pregnant with Rowan) but rarely do the kids and I get to have lunch with Matthew so that was a special treat. They told us about how they had done an "Amazing Race" type game, going to different departments all around the call center and gathering prizes and doing challenges. Killian ended up with a bag full of goodies - a T-Shirt, pens, notebooks, candy and his very own lanyard and badge. He felt like a real employee, and I could tell he had a really great time. After we ate lunch, the kids got one more treat - they got to make their own ice cream sundaes from a station in the lunch room!

Killian got one last chance to play supervisor with Daddy before it was time to leave:

I am really glad he got this experience, he came away talking about what a fun place to work it was and what a great time he had. He is already talking about going back next year!
