I don't think we can really call our young rabbits babies anymore! They have grown so fast in the last couple of weeks, they look more and more like small rabbits, and less like tiny little babies. Its really been something to see, how fast they have grown and changed in such a short period of time. They are a joy to have around, so funny to watch and play with. They all have distinct personalities, and different temperaments. Our families favorite is a bunny we call "Chubby". He was always the biggest of the babies, and now is the most mild and mellow youngun. We can tell him apart from the others by his chubby body, and his head is also noticeably bigger that the others. Must be a smart little one! We have talked briefly about keeping him/her, mostly its the kids and I that want too. But that would involve another hutch, and another bunny to feed, and I just don't know if we need THAT much rabbit poop around the place. Still, its a thought to entertain.
Lulu is a super patient and good mama. She shares her treats with the babies, and I always see her snuggled up with them in a corner of the hutch. They don't seem to be bothering her as much to nurse, which I think has made her very happy indeed. When they first left the nest she was constantly hopping around trying to get away from them...and they were ruthless in their demands for a drink. Having nursed two babies of my own, I could sympathize with her!

The bunnies inside for a play date with the whole family...including Harlow who is very curious about them!

It looks like just two, but its all three of the babies - I mean, rabbits - cuddling up with Killian (count the tails):

EARS!! I love em:

All the rabbits rush the door of the cage as soon as we come outside looking for treats. They especially love apples and bananas, but are very fond of radish greens, dandelion weeds, and carrots too.

I see the bunnies snuggling up with Lulu a lot, or running over to her when they hear a loud noise and need reassurance that everything is okay. Lulu never gets excited about anything (except food) so the bunnies will probably learn to be very calm and easygoing from her.

The little ones are very playful, hopping around the cage and bouncing off each other. I had just changed the straw in the hutch, and found this little one burying himself in it - Peekaboo!

Trying to get all three of them in one shot was tough, this is the best I can do. We sure are going to be sad to see these little ones go. None of them have homes right now, as the two people who had initially said they wanted them flaked out. Hopefully we can find homes for them soon, we only have a few weeks to do so. Except Chubby...I don't want to let that one go at all! ♥
