All grown up

Last week we said goodbye to our baby bunnies. We gave them to Linda (Lulu's previous owner) and she will find good homes for them all. It was really sad to see them go, we have really enjoyed watching their antics in the hutch and spending time with them inside. They were all so friendly and sweet! And smart....it didn't take them long to figure out that exciting things like food and playtime were going to happen when they heard the backdoor open. They would rush to the front of the hutch to greet us:

Four little faces, eagerly awaiting treats!

After opening the hutch door, I had to act fast before they jumped off the edge in search of their goodies:

The babies were especially cute when they were sleeping. I caught this little fellow taking a nap with his rump up in the air!

On our last night with them we brought them inside for one last playtime with the family. Those little bunnies were fast!

At first they mostly stayed on the blanket, because they figured out that the linoleum was slippery and hard to gain traction on. But soon their curiosity got the best of them, and they ventured out into the unknown, where Harlow was eying them suspiciously:

All that exploration and excitement wears a bunny out:

I love how they stretch waaaaaay out. About 20 minutes into playtime, they started taking these little rests.

Its easy to give them lots of love and snuggles when they are still:

The baby bunnies were such a fun surprise, and I am so glad that the kids got the chance to experience having them! We miss them a lot already, but know they will go to good homes and we are left with the great memories of the time we had with them.
