The weather was calm and dry today - the perfect day for getting our Christmas lights hung up outside. I am usually the one to dangle precariously from the ladder, struggling with freezing cold hands to secure the gutter clips that hold the lights. But as the guest of the house, this year Mikey got to climb the ladder and deal with the lights. Nobody gets a free ride around here! Killian, Matthew and Rowan took pity on him, and helped hold up the strand of lights, while I stood around taking pictures and trying to look useful:

All that hard work we did....er...Mike did was worth it. Our lights look great and are really putting us all in the Christmas mood!
