We took the kids and Ruger downtown today to check out Saturday Market and wander around downtown. I haven't been to Saturday Market for years, and as soon as we got there I remembered why...it is SO crowded down there! It was a beautiful summer day, and people were out in droves, making navigating the market with 2 kids and a big puppy a very interesting adventure. Pretty soon we made a break for the waterfront, where even though there were still lots of people, they were more spread out and we had a little breathing room. We wandered down to the big fountain, and stopped for a while to let the kids cool off. We had planned ahead and brought their swimsuits, so they were able to jump right in:
And right back out again - that water was COLD!

And had a great time getting soaked:
Even little Ruger enjoyed some fountain time...albeit from a distance:
