Matthew has a new toy! It's a Traeger grill and boy, is he excited. Costco had them as a limited time offer, and since we have been wanting one for a while we decided to give ourselves an early Christmas present:
We got the "Lil' Tex Elite" but there is nothing little about this thing! With it, you can grill, smoke, baste, braise, and BBQ. I think we are mostly excited about the smoker function - we can make our own bacon, and smoke BBQ pork until it falls off the bone. We have already decided that next year we are going to brine and then smoke our turkey - I fully expect it to be out of this world. Its a good thing we just stocked our freezer up with a side of beef, cause I have a feeling Matthew is going to be volunteering to be on dinner duty quite a bit in the coming months!
