Friendsgiving

Time for round two! This year we hosted our first ever "Friendsgiving" and it was so much fun that I can't imagine it not becoming a new yearly tradition. Over coffee with my dear friend Erica the week before, we were talking about how some friends didn't have any local family to spend Thanksgiving with and how sad that would be. We hatched a plan to host a second Thanksgiving celebration at my house the Saturday after the holiday so everyone could feel the turkey day love.

Matthew and I got the turkey in earlier in the day, it was another one from New Seasons and we liberally slathered it with butter and herbs just like our Thanksgiving day bird:

Erica and Andrea, who are hereby know forever as "The Gravy Queens". Seriously, I have never had better gravy than the gravy that these two made. And I am not a real big gravy person, so that's really saying something!

Rowan entertained herself with her hula hoop:

Athen and Killian entertained themselves with racing games:

And baby Ari entertained us all with her adorable sweet potato covered face:

What a wonderful thing it is to be able to have such a fun celebration like this with some truly amazing people. Once again (because I can't seem to say it enough) I am so very grateful for this life, and for how full of blessings that it is!
