We finally had a free night to sit down and build our gingerbread houses tonight! Usually we get a kit that has one big house, but this year the kids decided on one that had 5 smaller houses. It seemed like a fun idea because we would each get to decorate our own house, but I didn't realize when we bought it just how small they were - each house was less than 4 inches tall! The small size didn't stop us from decorating big though.
The kids using frosting to "glue" their houses together:

I was trying to get a picture of just Killian working on his house, but someone had some other ideas:

She would dodge in just as I was taking the picture, and of course, she thought it was totally hilarious!

Starting in on the decorations - so much candy, so little time:

Our faithful helper in her favorite spot - which is wherever we are:

Ta-Da! Everyone's finished houses, and Killian and Rowans decorated cookies which they made out of the 5th house:

This was so much fun, I love this sweet, sticky, sugar filled tradition!
