Sweet as Sugar

We are all quickly adjusting to life with a puppy, which is made a million times easier by just how wonderful this particular puppy is! Other than not being house trained (yikes!) Sugar is an absolute angel around the house. She doesn't chase the kitties (although she has made it clear that she is VERY interested in being friends), she doesn't chew on shoes or anything that's not hers, she is crate trained and quiet all night long for us, and she doesn't jump on us or get mouthy with the kids. She even walks nicely on a leash, something I really appreciate when we go for walks. She is just absolutely perfect, and we are having so much fun playing with and getting to know her. With a face like this, whats not to love?!

She also has a particular way of laying on the floor that is totally adorable, we call it her froggy cause she lays on her tummy and sticks her back legs out to the sides. These aren't great pictures of it, but you get the idea:

She loves to play so much, and we are all happy to oblige. Here she is bonding with Matthew and her favorite tennis ball/rope toy:

Another adorable habit she has? She almost *always* carries a toy in her mouth. We are totally encouraging it, because it keeps her mouth busy so there is no puppy nipping or licking happening, and hey - she is always prepared to play!

I could go on and on about how much we love her, and how excited we are. I see so much potential in her - she is super quick to learn new things, and really really eager to please. That makes such a great combination, its going to be so much fun training her and taking her everywhere with us this summer. I have a feeling that she is going to have no problem winning the hearts of everyone we meet!
