We got an email from Rowans teacher asking if we would be able to stay for the assembly at school today because she said that Rowan was going to be called up to accept an award! She was chosen for the Kindergarten Excellence Award for being, well....excellent! All her teachers absolutely love her because she is polite and always pays attention in class, works really hard at learning, and is friendly and kind to all her fellow classmates. We are both so proud of how well she is doing in school, and so happy that she loves it as much as we thought she would.
We didn't tell Rowan beforehand that this was coming, so she was shocked when they called her name. She looked like such a big girl walking up to get her award:
It doesn't show in this picture, but she was just beaming with excitement and pride when she came back with her award. Its really neat to see her being recognized for working so hard and doing so well in school. We are extremely proud of our little girl!
