Killian won second place in his schools science fair!! He worked so hard on this project, and spend a lot of time getting his board just right so to see him recognized for that is really exciting. He came home with a ribbon and an invitation to the district science fair, and he is absolutely bursting with pride. I am so excited that he gets to experience this - he was one of only three kids in his whole school that were invited to the district judging.
We went to one of the local high schools tonight and set up his board:
The place was packed with kids from all around the district:
Rowan was really proud of her brother, but a little bored with how long it took for the projects to be judged, so she spend most of her time running up the bleachers with one of her friends:
Killian didn't end up placing this time around, but he was okay with that. He was really proud to have been asked to participate, and to be recognized again for doing such a great job. He had several of the judges compliment him on his work, and seeing his huge grin as he talked to them filled me with so much pride. He is such a great kid, and as he gets older, he gets more and more opportunities to show the world just how amazing he is. I have no doubt that everyone is going to love him just as much as I do!
