We have had a garden every year since we bought this house. Even the year after I had lung surgery, we were out there digging in the dirt and growing yummy veggies. Except this year. This year, with Matthew gone all spring, me working a new job and having two kids and a puppy to take care of all by myself, there was no time leftover for gardening. So I left the soil to its own devices, and now all we are harvesting is weeds. Tons and tons of weeds.

Feeling like I had let it go long enough, I headed out to do a little weed pulling. Good thing I brought Sugar out with me - this dog is a natural born weed killer.
"I found one Mom!"

"Don't worry mom, I got this!!"
Yup. Weed killing dog, alright! I killed a few weeds of my own, and ended up with the gardeners version of a tan line:

I have decided that gardens are a ton of work, whether you are growing delicious vegetable or annoying weeds!
