It's our second day at the fair, and we headed straight to our first event - Motocross! These guys were absolutely amazing. They had a ramp out of sight, so we would see them suddenly shoot into the air and do some craaaaazy tricks.

We had a few hours until the next event started, so we wandered around the fair to see what cool things we could find. Killian quickly gravitated to the area with new cars that you could climb in and explore:
Rowan and I left the boys to daydream among the vehicles while we found something a little more our speed - the animal tent! Reptiles mostly, which delighted Rowan because she is fascinated with snakes, lizards, and turtles. There was an area set up where you could hold a baby gator, so while we were waiting in line for that a really nice reptile house employee came over and started talking to Rowan. When she found out that Rowan loves turtles, she asked if she would like to hold a newborn baby tortoise. Of course Rowan said yes, but neither of us were prepared for how adorably cute the little guy would be! We couldn't stop cooing over him - he was just the tiniest thing!
After a crowd gathered to ooh and ahh at the baby tortoise in Rowans hand, we passed him along to the next kiddo in line. Then it was our turn to hold the baby gator! This picture cracks me up, because I cant decide if this is really great parenting (letting your reptile obsessed child hold a baby alligator) or really terrible parenting (letting your child hold a baby alligator). Either way, it was a cool experience and Rowan loved it!
Soon enough it was time for us to get back to the arena for some demolition derby! This was the event that the kids were most excited about, and I could totally relate - its fun to watch things get smashed to pieces!

The cars smashed and dashed for at least 15 minutes, until one by one they were no longer able to operate and the last car left mobile was declared the winner. This is how they got the immobilized cars off the track:
And what should you do when you have a pile of immobilized, wrecked and smashed cars? Jump monster trucks over them of course!!
The kids had a blast watching both the demolition derby and the smashing of the cars by the monster trucks. Out of all three events we went to at the fair this weekend, I think this last one is the one we would want to go to again. It's just good fun!
