We took the kids up to Mt. Hood Adventure Park at Skibowl today, and we had so much fun! The last time we were up there was for Matthews company picnic in 2006 - Rowan was about 7 months old which would have made Killian almost 6 years old. So they were both too small to really enjoy everything the park had to offer. Today they made up for lost time!
We made a beeline straight to the lift chairs to ride to the top of the mountain so we could climb into some alpine slide carts and sail back down. Rowan and I rode together, and the guys each got their own cart. We went over and over again, the kids were having so much fun!

Our next stop were the Hamster Balls, which looked like a great time, until we saw people coming out of them absolutely soaking wet. It was early in the day, and nobody wanted to walk around in wet clothes, so we passed on these. Maybe next time!

We headed over to the tube hill next - Rowan and I went together, and Killian and Matthew got their own tubes. The 300 foot ride only lasted a few seconds, but it was still pretty fun twisting and sliding down the hill:

We spent a lot of time at the next station - bungee trampolines! Rowan went first, and while she didn't get much height, she did giggle like crazy and have a bunch of fun:

Killian practically shot up to the moon! He really got some great bounces in, and tried to do a few flips but couldn't quite get himself turned around. I was a little more tame, and just bounced around a bit:

Looking at this picture, I guess I did get a little air!

Could Rowan walk past an opportunity to ride a pony? Of course not! It's not terribly exciting to ride a horse plodding around in a circle, but she gets so much joy just out of being near them that it was fun enough for her:

The rock climbing wall was next, and this is something Killian really loves to do - and is really very good at! I think its those long arms and legs - he's never climbed a rock wall and not reached the top of it:

Going up....

And up.....

And he made it!
Our last adventure for the day was the go-carts. This is always the kid's favorite attraction! The operator guy asked if we wanted him to take our pictures, so I handed over my camera and Rowan and I got our race faces on:

Matthew already had his race face on, and was ready to *try* to whoop our butts:
But Rowan and I put the pedal to the metal and away we went!

The guys tried desperately to catch up with us:
But it was no use....Rowan and I were like the wind!

So much fun, so little time...we only have two weeks left of summer for adventures like this. What will we find to do next??
