Today is our 4th wedding anniversary! Last year I posted some engagement photos here and the story of how we got engaged. It was so romantic, I love looking at those old pictures. This year, I am even more thankful to have this wonderful man in my life, to be my partner in parenting, my best friend, my husband, and so very much more. Looking at the challenges we have faced these last two years, with Matthews mom passing in March of '08, the stress of buying our home in October of '08, and them my cancer diagnosis this Feb. '09....we have been through a lot. But we have faced it all together, as a team, undivided, and drawing all the strength we needed from each other. I used to wonder what it was that I had done to get so lucky to have met and married Matthew. Now I know it wasn't luck...but because I would need him and he would need me. And I do feel like we can face anything life has to offer, if we are together. I love him so much more after making it through these hard times. Of course, we have had a lot of good times too, and that's all just icing on the cake. He makes me laugh, he is an amazing father, and he is so supportive of me and all my crazy hippy ideas. I love that he knows me better than anyone else ever will, and he accepts and dare I say, even adores all my quirks. I realize days like today, looking back at my life and all that has happened over the last 4 1/2 years since I met Matthew, that I am truly blessed beyond anything that I ever could have imagined. And I have Matthew to thank for so much of that. So today, on our 4th anniversary...Matthew - I love you more than you could ever know. You mean the world to me, and no matter what life throws at us, I know that we can take it, change it, and make the best of it. With you by my side, I know we have a long and magical life ahead of us. You are my best friend, and I love you!
