The last time that Angie, Brett and I took the kids out to Barton park for a day at the river, Matthew wasn't able to join us because he was still in Minnesota. So today we packed up picnic supplies and fishing gear and headed back to the river for some fun that Matthew could join in!
The kids jumped right in and started getting sandy and wet!
Killian adores baby Callie so much, and is always happy to entertain her:
Rowan gets in on the baby entertaining action too - I loved this series of shots of the two of them sharing lunch:
Killian couldn't resist getting in on the action, and scooped Callie up for some snuggles.
After lunch, we headed back to the river for some fishing. Our littlest fishergirl hoping for a catch:

Both Killian and Matthew got catches! Sadly, they weren't the kind they were hoping for:
It could have been worse though...they could have been sitting around eating rocks all afternoon:
Or out collecting garbage along the beach with Catie. Gross and sad that she found this much in the little area that we were in (we hauled her treasures up to the garbage can before we left):
So, we still didn't catch any fish, but at this point, I think if we did we would be too shocked to know what to do! However, we did have another wonderful day at the river, soaking up sunshine, and having a great time with our friends. So swim on fishies - we are having plenty of fun without you!
